Meet Shelldon, the Gopher Tortoise

Our logo features a gopher tortoise, a keystone species known for its powerful impact on the ecosystems it inhabits. Through its burrows, the gopher tortoise creates shelter for over 350 other species—offering safety, stability, and space to thrive. Though small and unassuming, it plays a vital role in maintaining the balance of its environment, much like the mission of Wild Sprout.

Let's Go!

Endangered by habitat loss and development, the gopher tortoise reminds us of the importance of protecting the natural world—especially in urban spaces. Like this resilient creature, Wild Sprout is designed to be a grounding force—connecting people, especially children, to the rich ecosystems around them, no matter where they live.
